Antia S. Botana (PI)
Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Arizona State University
Antia joined the Department of Physics at ASU as an assistant professor in 2018. Prior, she was a postdoctoral fellow at University of California, Davis (2013-2015) and Argonne National Lab (2015-2018).
Myung-Chul Jung (Postdoctoral Fellow)
Myung-Chul (Aaron) joined the Botana group in Fall 2021. He is interested in the study of condensed matter physics based on DFT calculations, such as superconductivity, magnetism, topological, and thermoelectric materials. Recently, he is studying the many-body behavior with dynamical mean-field theory approach in the nickelate superconductors.
Jesse Kapeghian (Graduate student)
Jesse joined the Botana group in 2019. He employs density functional theory (DFT) to explore the electronic and magnetic structure of materials with novel properties. Specifically, he's interested in strongly correlated systems, high-temperature superconductivity, and 2D magnetism.
Harry LaBollita (Graduate student)
Harry joined the Botana group in Spring 2020. He is interested in using and developing computational tools, such as density functional theory and dynamical mean-field theory to study the physics of strongly correlated materials.
Shekhar Sharma (Research rotation student)
Shekhar joined the Botana group as a research rotation student in Fall 2021.
Nicholas Navas (undergraduate)
Nicholas joined the Botana group in Fall 2021.
